Stay Safe - Secure Your Facebook Account

Nowadays many people are complaining about HACKED ID's , Hacked Facebook Pages and STUCK IN VERIFICATION problems.
This all happens because of YOUR OWN MISTAKES. Yes , You read it right , Your Own Mistakes are the major Cause of these Problems.

So , Today I am going to give my TIPS, In securing your Facebook account , So that, You Do Not Have to deal with the above listed problems.

Lets Start.

• Application Permission:

                                                        You may have noticed , Different Games/Fun Applications/Quiz Applications ETC ask for your PERMISSIONS and in a HURRY , You always click ALLOW/YES/OK/GIVE ACCESS buttons , These permissions can include anything, including full access to your Facebook account , even when you’re not connected, So , What you need to do is to check the LIST , That what permissions are being asked and then allow the App.

• Spammy Video links:

                                                   Spammers are targeting Facebook to Spread links of Spammy videos, Which on your click redirects you and takes control of your account to Spam on others Profiles,without even getting noticed by You. These Videos usually show a HALF NAKED girl, Or a Popular Celebrity with a title to ADULT MATERIAL.

• Download Notification:

                                                        Sometimes when you Play a video , you receive a notification that you need to install or update a codec , which is necessary and essential to watch the clip.
That may not be true,usually this codec is Trojan horse a.k.a Virus. It could slip pass your AntiVirus through the Internet can cause Hacked Online Accounts and Information.

• Message from Facebook:

                                                      If you own Popular Facebook pages, then you may even receive Notifications with names like : Facebook team, Security team, Facebook Security, etc, etc.These will look VERY VERY Legit and you will be Forced to click on them, These are actually Cookie stealing apps and eventually you may end up loosing your Facebook account and/or Page, So better ignore these messages.

Note: Facebook team will never Send you such messages, so Do not forget to Report to FB Team.

Additional Tips:

Add your phone number and Change its Privacy to Only me, Privacy Will make sure that other people will not be able to see your Phone number. This number will help you REGAIN access to your account if YOU GET HACKED.

1. Add Security Question as a Secondary option to get back your Facebook account. Choose a Question, wisely so even your CLOSEST Friend or Family Member May not Know it. Make sure NOT TO ADD ANY NAME or NUMBERS , like the Name of Your Mother or Girl Friend or Your Own Cell Number because these are EASY TO GUESS. 
2. Add People as Friends who you know personally, Mostly people on Facebook add unknown people. Then If You Get Hacked, Facebook Asks you to identify Friends in which they are Tagged in and If there are Unknown People , You may not be able to guess them correctly and hence, Lose access to your account.
3. Turn on Notification when you log in to your Facebook account from unknown places, so whenever someone tries to LOGIN from another place, Which most probably means you GOT HACKED, Then You would know it.
